Hi everyone, we've got the annual Santa Clara County "Taste of Archery" event coming up in just a few days, with up to 150 guests signed up to get their first introduction to archery. We need your help with this important outreach event, specifically:
- Assistant instructors for either (or both) Saturday 8am and 10am sessions. With the weather predicted to be on the warm side, we can always use extra instructors to allow volunteers to rotate in and out to stay cool and hydrated. No specific qualifications are needed other than familiarity with archery and range safety rules, and a willingness to help.
- Volunteers to help with setup on Friday evening (6pm). Since things get underway so early on Saturday, we're planning on setting up targets etc. well ahead of time to avoid having to scramble on Saturday morning.
- Volunteers to help with teardown and cleanup after the event, Saturday around 12pm.
Please come and spend a bit of time introducing people to the sport we all enjoy; it's a great way to help bring new members into our community!
Note: the BMB parking lot will be unavailable or reserved for Taste of Archery participants for the duration of the event. Please be courteous to our guests and park out on the street. The remainder of the range will remain open for use during the event (but again, please come and help if you can!).
If you can help, please reach out to us (blackmountainbowmen@gmail.com) or you can directly contact Dawnel (dawnel92@gmail.com) who is coordinating volunteer efforts.
Thanks & hope to see you there!
- The BMB Directors
