Request Archery Lessons
If you would like to arrange archery lessons at Black Mountain Bowmen, please fill out the request form below and our Chief Instructor will respond to your inquiry within 24-48 hours.
All information provided will be used strictly for lesson purposes, and will not be shared with third parties.

Frequently Asked Questions
When are lessons held?
Lessons can take place any time the range is open (generally 8AM until sunset every day, excluding special events such as tournaments, range maintenance, etc.), subject to the availability of the instructor. Lessons typically last an hour, though group events may run longer.
Is equipment provided?
Yes, we do provide equipment for beginner lessons.
If you have your own gear and prefer to learn and practice with it, you are welcome to bring it.
What do lessons cost?
Individual (one-to-one) lessons typically cost $50/hour, but may vary. Please contact us for exact pricing information.
What about group lessons or events?
Yes, we can do group lessons, corporate team events, etc. Please contact us for pricing and availability.
What should I bring?
Clothing: comfortable clothing appropriate to the weather, avoiding loose or baggy clothes, and close-toed footwear.
Sunblock is recommended; insect repellent may be helpful as well. Bring snacks and water as needed.
How do I find the range?
The range entrance is directly across the street from the house at 317 Bayliss Drive, San Jose. The location for Black Mountain Bowmen on Google Maps is correct.
Look for a Santa Clara County Parks sign, "Santa Teresa County Park / Archery Range Entrance". There is also a small brown sign on the fence next to the gate that says "ARCHERY RANGE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC 8AM TO SUNSET".
