As the final minutes of 2024 tick away, we look back upon the year that was with gratitude for all the folks who made BMB's awesome moments possible. In no particular order, we'd like to send out a huge "Thank you!" to:
- Our fearless leader Chris Plumeau for stepping into the club President role on short notice.
- Ron May-Pumphrey for running the Wednesday Night 3D League that was enjoyed by so many archers, and for stepping up to fill the club Treasurer role mid-year.
- Outgoing Board member Paul Henry for running almost every Work Party, and performing numerous other range maintenance tasks.
- Harold Hall, Deems Wegl, and Mark Whiteley for mowing the grass and clearing brush throughout the spring and summer, and looking after the plants and trees all over the range.
- Ashley Duong for dealing with people's questionable handwriting and entering our 3D League scores in a timely manner every week.
- Winston Wang for setting up the BMB Discord server, and for setting up the County volunteer program.
- Dawnel Scott for running the Senior Games and other tournaments.
- Outgoing Membership Director Marianna Finkel for reaching out to prospective members at the range (and recruiting quite a few!).
- Viet-Tam Luu for updating the club website, publishing meeting minutes, operating the BMB social media accounts, answering emails, and handling other behind-the-scenes administrative work.
- Outgoing Board member Katherine Li for patiently gathering input and feedback on designs for a new club logo and jersey.
- Stan Boehm for engineering, refining, and repairing our new target bale compressor.
- Chuck Gilbert for testing target bales ahead of every Work Party, and tracking target bale conditions.
- Tere Johnson for advising the Board on matters related to the County and acting as a liaison with the Parks Department.
- The SJSU Spartan Archery crew for helping out at many Work Parties, and for putting on their first Spartan CATS 3D/field shoot.
- Everyone who came out to lend a hand at a Work Party.
- All volunteers who helped out at 3D League, tournaments, Club Shoots, and other events.
- Everyone who helped fund the memorial feature (coming soon!) for beloved BMB member Bob DeLong.
- Everyone who left a donation while visiting the range.
So many names, and we've probably missed a few!
Finally, last but very much not least, we'd like to thank all our members and all our visitors for helping to promote the sport of archery, and for helping to make BMB a great place for all archers from the San Jose area and beyond. Cheers!
