Hi everyone, the weather outlook is looking great for this weekend! Please come out and join us:
- The rescheduled range maintenance Work Party takes place tomorrow (Saturday), starting at 8am (though if you sleep in a bit we won't turn you away!). Please come help us perform much-needed maintenance work, as use and weather have done a number on a lot of our target bales. Also, we'll be working on reinstalling (in a new location) the much-beloved "Black Mountain Bowmen" sign that used to adorn the site entrance.
- Bring work gloves, and wear clothing as you might use for doing yard work.
- The range will be closed to all shooting until work finishes, around 1-2pm.
- As a "thank you" to volunteers, we'll serve up refreshments and lunch.
- Our first outdoor-format Club Shoot of the year happens on Sunday.
- The format is an NFAA 900: 3 rounds of 5 6-arrow ends, at 60/50/40 yards (closer for youth and cub archers), shot on a 122cm 10-ring target face.
- The shoot is free for archers with a current BMB membership; $10 for non-members.
- Walk-ons are welcome, though we encourage you to pre-register if you plan on showing up, to help us plan target assignments and other logistics.
- Setup and registration start around 8am; shooting begins at 9am.
One more thing: club jerseys are coming soon! Stay tuned for an announcement about ordering details.
We hope to see you this weekend; happy shooting!
- The BMB Directors
