Since many BMB members will be competing at this weekend's California State Outdoors Championships tournament as their first USA Archery sanctioned event, we wanted to alert you to some important rules that you may not be aware of, notably:
- Camo (camouflage) of any kind is not allowed on any equipment used (per section 11.3.3 of World Archery rules).
- Per the USA Archery Dress Code policy, camo on clothing is disallowed only at specific events, not including this one.
- All arrows must be marked with the archer's name or initials on the arrow shaft.
- We suggest using a silver or white paint marker to inscribe initials on arrow shafts.
If you're new to USA Archery events, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the rules about equipment and attire, linked above. There will be an equipment check and non-compliant items will likely be noticed by event officials, so make sure your gear is up to snuff ahead of the event!
